New RAMC La Valle Clinic: What Families Should Know
The Reedsburg Area Medical Center (RAMC) La Valle Clinic is now open, offering primary care services for individuals and families and I wanted to share a little more about what that actually means for local families.
It’s not just another location…it’s another option when it comes to scheduling, availability, and getting care when you need it.
To help families better understand what to expect, I connected with Amanda McAfee, APNP, FNP-BC, to learn more about the services offered, who it’s for, and how it can support local families.

RAMC La Valle Clinic: What Families Need to Know
Can you introduce yourself and your role at the La Valle clinic?
My name is Amanda McAfee, and I’m a Nurse Practitioner with Reedsburg Area Medical Center. I am now seeing patients at the RAMC La Valle Clinic, where we provide primary care for individuals and families in the La Valle area.
What services are offered at the clinic?
Our clinic focuses on primary, preventive, and wellness care. That includes routine checkups, managing chronic conditions, sick visits, and helping patients stay on track with their overall health.
It’s important to note that the clinic does not provide walk-in or emergency care appointments.
What made you want to work in a rural community like La Valle?
I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and providing care in rural communities is especially meaningful because access to healthcare can sometimes require long drives or limited options. Being able to offer care closer to home helps make it easier for families to stay on top of their health.
How quickly can someone usually get an appointment? Do you offer same-day visits?
I do offer same-day visits for more urgent needs. Right now, patients can typically be seen within a week for non-urgent needs like physicals, medication adjustments, or general concerns, though that may vary over time.
Can current RAMC patients use the La Valle clinic?
Yes! The La Valle clinic is part of RAMC, so anyone who is able to be seen in Reedsburg at RAMC can also be seen at the La Valle clinic.
If you’re unsure whether your insurance is accepted, you can check your insurance provider’s website or call the number on your card for more information.
What are you most excited about with this new clinic?
I am most excited to take care of this community and be able to provide care close to home. I’m also excited to see the clinic grow as we learn the needs of the community and continue to expand services.
