Finding out about all the holiday events in the area before they’re over and everyone is posting cute pics on social media can feel overwhelming, so I pulled everything into one simple guide for families.

Below you’ll find a full list of Christmas events and winter activities around Baraboo, Reedsburg, Sauk Prairie, Spring Green, and nearby communities in date order so you can plan your December easily.

Whether you’re looking for free Santa visits, light parades, holiday markets, or kid-friendly Christmas activities, this guide should help your family make the most of the season.


✨ Holiday Light Parade

Date: Friday, December 5, 2025

Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Location: Downtown Spring Green

The parade begins at 6 p.m. Enjoy glowing floats and festive lights as they make their way through downtown.

✨ Christmas in Webb Park

Date: December 6, 2025

Time: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Location: Webb Park, Reedsburg

Gather in the park for an evening of holiday cheer with music, farm animals, hot drinks, wagon rides, kids games, s’mores, a food truck, and an outdoor vendor market. Tour the park to see all the sponsored displays. The main Christmas tree lighting happens at 6:00 PM sharp!

✨Friends of the Spring Green Community Library – Bake & Book Sale

Date: December 6, 2025

Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: Spring Green Community Library

✨ Holly Jolly Sauk Prairie: Gnome for the Holidays

Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025

Location: Sauk Prairie

A full day of festive fun featuring downtown shopping specials, kids crafts, holiday treats, a free family movie, Santa visits, and plenty of seasonal surprises.

✨ Living Windows – Downtown Reedsburg

Date: Friday, December 12, 2025

Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Location: Downtown Reedsburg

Downtown Reedsburg comes alive with costumed performers acting out scenes behind the glass. Enjoy caroling, refreshments, surprises, complimentary wagon rides, and a visit with Santa. This year’s theme is “Christmas Past, Present & Future.”

✨ Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt

Date: Saturday, December 20

Location: Steinhorst Park

As the sun sets, hundreds of candy canes and prizes will be hidden throughout the park. Bring your flashlight and get ready for a magical evening search.

Ages 2–4: 4:30–5:00pm
Ages 5–12: 5:30–6:00pm

Early Registration: $5 until Dec 1
Late Registration: $10 Dec 2–12

✨ Stories With Santa

Date: December 13

Time: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Location: Baraboo Children’s Museum

Santa will share stories from the North Pole and answer kids’ questions if time allows. Afterwards, enjoy crafts, snacks, and photos with Santa. Free admission; registration opens two weeks before the event.

✨ Sensory-Friendly Santa Visits

Date: December 19

Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Location: Baraboo Children’s Museum

Designed for kids with autism, ADHD, or other sensory needs. Each child receives a quiet, personalized visit with Santa. Accommodations like dim lighting or warm-up time can be provided. Free event. Registration opens December 1.

✨ Cocoa & Cookie Decorating

Date: Monday, December 22

Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Location: Baraboo Civic Center Gym

Decorate up to three cookies, sip hot cocoa, and enjoy a cozy, family-friendly evening. All supplies provided. Fee: $5/person; preregistration preferred but not required.
