Mirror Lake State Park

Mirror Lake is another one of the best spots where fall puts on a brilliant show. The calm, reflective waters make the reds, oranges, and yellows look more vibrant. If you’re up for it, rent a kayak or canoe and get out on the water for even better lake views. There’s something peaceful about paddling through the fall foliage.

Natural Bridge State Park

Looking for something a little less crowded? Natural Bridge State Park offers a quieter experience while still delivering on breathtaking fall views. The hike up to the natural sandstone arch is totally worth it, and you’ll get to see the autumn colors in a more peaceful setting.

If you’re looking for a classic fall outing, Ski Hi Fruit Farm is the perfect stop. Not only do you get the gorgeous fall colors surrounding the orchard, but it’s also a great place to grab a bag of apples and some fresh apple cider.

Take a walk around the orchard, enjoy the scenery, and pick up some of their famous apple cider donuts while you’re there. It’s the kind of fall activity that everyone in the family will love.

Rocky Arbor State Park

Though smaller than some of the other state parks, Rocky Arbor State Park in Wisconsin Dells is a beautiful spot for a short hike with plenty of fall color. The unique rock formations and the towering trees that change with the season create a scenic backdrop perfect for a relaxed nature walk.

There’s also a park and picnic area available by the park entrance.

Parfrey’s Glen

If you’ve never been to Parfrey’s Glen, fall is the perfect time to explore this beautiful gorge located within the Baraboo Hills. The trail takes you along a rocky creek bed, and at the end, you’ll reach a waterfall nestled in the sandstone cliffs, all surrounded by vibrant colors.
