Nurse-Family Partnership
The Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a community health program that focuses on providing support and guidance to first-time, low-income mothers. The program is designed to improve maternal and child health outcomes by pairing registered nurses with expectant mothers during their pregnancy and continuing through the child’s second birthday.
You may be eligible if you meet the following criteria:

Prenatal Care Coordination (PNCC)
Prenatal Care Coordination (PNCC) is a free service offered for women who qualify for BadgerCare or medical assistance or any pregnant teen needing support and information.
PNCC can help connect you with a doctor, provide referrals to WIC (Women, Infants and Children), and guide you to various resources for food, nutritional details, maternity and baby clothing, breastfeeding guidance and support, as well as information and classes on newborn care and childbirth.
You will have monthly contact with a Public Health Nurse while pregnant and up to two months after delivery.

Breastfeeding Support
If you have questions about breastfeeding, and you qualify for WIC, there are breastfeeding peers you can reach out to with questions and for advice. Their contact information is on the County website. There are a number of helpful videos on the County site as well.

Safe Kids Sauk County
Safe Kids Sauk County is an organization with a mission to reduce unintentional childhood injuries.

- Parent Education and Support, featuring workshops covering all facets of parenting and family life, along with group and individual support for personal and family health maintenance.
- A telephone “Warm Line” and access to computers, the Internet, and other technologies.
- Early Head Start and various family, prenatal, and early childhood services, including home visiting.
- Engaging family activities such as weekly playgroups, “Family Fun Nights,” and a plethora of opportunities for parent-child, parent-parent, and child-child interactions.
