Taking care of our skin is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves—and it can also be one of the most relaxing! Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting LuminAura Esthetics for a 75-minute personalized facial with Katie Benson-Miresse and it was amazing!

I’ve had facials with Katie in the past, so I already knew she’s incredibly talented, friendly, and knowledgeable and my experience at LuminAura was no different. Katie truly went above and beyond to ensure my appointment was everything I needed it to be.

My Experience at LuminAura Esthetics

From the moment I walked in, Katie made me feel welcomed and completely at ease. She’s so personable and genuinely listens when you share your skin concerns and goals. During my appointment, she recommended a few add-on services to maximize the results of my facial, and I’m so glad I trusted her expertise! Here’s a breakdown of everything she did:

The Facial Itself

The facial treatment is personalized to your needs and includes cleansing, exfoliation, masking, hydration, and optional extractions, resulting in a refreshed and glowing complexion.

The Facial Add-Ons

Dermaplaning:

Katie started with dermaplaning, a treatment that gently exfoliates your skin and removes peach fuzz and dead skin cells. Using a small, safe blade, she worked her magic, and my skin instantly felt smoother and brighter. It’s such a satisfying process, and the results were amazing!

Hydrodermabrasion Extractions:

Next up was hydrodermabrasion, a deep-cleaning treatment for congested areas of the face. Katie used a tool that felt like a mix of suction and water—it’s like giving your skin a refreshing drink while clearing out any impurities. My pores have never felt so clean!

High Frequency:

To help prevent future breakouts, Katie used high-frequency therapy. She placed a netting cloth over my face and used a tool that delivers a gentle electrical current to kill bacteria. This step was quick, painless, and left me feeling confident that my skin was being well cared for.

LED Light Therapy:

We finished the facial with five minutes of LED light therapy. Katie chose a light color that targets anti-aging, helping to reduce fine lines and promote overall skin health.

My Results

None of the treatments were painful, and Katie explained every step so I always knew what to expect. Her attention to detail and passion for what she does make her services second to none. I walked out of LuminAura Esthetics with my skin feeling fresh, smooth, and the results were absolutely noticeable – for days.
