While Halloween is all about fun, it’s important to keep safety in mind to ensure a spooktacular night. Here are a few tips to help keep your family safe:
- Stay visible: Equip kids with glow sticks or reflective tape on their costumes to make sure they’re easily seen.
- Stick together: Always trick-or-treat in groups, and make sure younger children are with a trusted adult.
- Check candy before eating: Once you’re home, sort through your child’s candy and check for any open or unwrapped items before letting them dig in.
- Stay on the sidewalk: Remind kids to use sidewalks when possible. If there are no sidewalks, walk facing traffic and stay as close to the curb as you can.
