Talented Artists
Over the course of three days, you’ll have the opportunity to watch painters, sculptors, potters, weavers, jewelers, woodworkers, and more demonstrate their craft in their own studios. Many of these studios open to the public only during this event, making it an exclusive chance to meet the artists and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces directly from them.

Anne Horjus
One such artist you might want to keep an eye out for is Anne Horjus. Anne grew up near the Wadden Sea in Friesland, Netherlands, where the coastal scenery sparked his love for art. With a background in classical singing and visual arts, Anne has illustrated children’s books in both Europe and the U.S.
Anne’s diverse work includes portraits, murals, and woodcarvings, and he’s known for combining his artistic talents in engaging performances. Anne also spent 16 years coordinating children’s library programs and continues to lead workshops about programming for other librarians of our own South central system and other library systems in Wisconsin.

Kyle Martin
Kyle Martin is another incredible artist to check out during the Fall Art Tour. His work, created outdoors focuses on capturing the way light interacts with the landscape. Whether it’s the soft morning light or the golden glow of sunset, he uses bold color and dynamic brushwork to convey the ever-changing atmosphere.
His passion for painting has taken him cross the world—from France to Italy, and even Taliesin—Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic estate—where he spent two months painting during its centennial celebration.
Throughout the tour weekend, you’ll have the chance to watch Kyle demonstrate his technique at his Chicken Coop Studio, a space on his family’s 100-year-old farm. It’s a great opportunity to see his process firsthand and appreciate how he captures the essence of our region through his paintings. For an even deeper dive into his work, Kyle will also be offering private studio visits before the tour, giving you a more behind-the-scenes look at his creative process.

It’s a truly unique event you won’t want to miss! While you’re on the tour, be sure to check out these apple orchards and pumpkin patches along the way for a full fall-fun weekend!
